Media Alert: iRobot to Showcase Latest Innovations at WIRED NextFest in Chicago
| WHAT: | iRobot will unveil its latest robotic floorvac at WIRED NextFest in Chicago this week. Also, for the first time in public, iRobot will demonstrate the R-Gator, an unmanned vehicle developed in partnership with John Deere. The R-Gator is designed to protect U.S. forces by serving in roles such as unmanned scout, perimeter guard, supply carrier and other mission-critical duties. Other robots on display include the full line of iRobot Roomba® Discovery Robotic Floorvacs, as well as the iRobot PackBot® line of reconnaissance and bomb disposal robots, which are at work in Afghanistan and Iraq helping protect American soldiers every day. |
| WHEN: | The new iRobot Roomba floorvac will be demonstrated on June 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the iRobot booth.
The R-Gator will be demonstrated June 24-26 at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily in Gateway Park. |
