iRobot Promotes Executives for Contribution To Company’s Growth

Joe Dyer and Gregory White named division presidents

BURLINGTON, Mass., July 21, 2006 – iRobot Corp. (NASDAQ: IRBT) today announced its board of directors has promoted two executives for their significant contributions to iRobot and their role in increasing the adoption of robots in various markets. Vice Admiral Joe Dyer (U.S. Navy, Ret.), executive vice president and general manager of iRobot Government & Industrial Robots, and Gregory White, executive vice president and general manager of iRobot Home Robots, will now serve as presidents of their respective divisions.

Under Dyer’s leadership, iRobot has delivered more than 500 iRobot® PackBot® robots worldwide. Under White’s leadership, the company has sold more than 2 million iRobot Roomba® Vacuuming Robots and introduced the iRobot Scooba®, the first floor washing robot for home use.

“Joe and Greg are responsible for growing iRobot from a research-based organization to an established public company,” said Colin Angle, co-founder and chief executive officer of iRobot. “Their leadership and our employees’ dedication have helped make iRobot a leader in robot technology, and we will continue to be a trailblazer in the emerging robot industry.”

Dyer joined iRobot in 2003 after a 32-year Navy career, retiring as commander of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Dyer has helped increase the defense industry’s acceptance of robots as a critical future platform for protecting the lives of U.S. armed forces and providing real-time intelligence to warfighters.

White also joined iRobot in 2003, after helping lead The Holmes Group to record revenue growth from $48 million to $650 million as chief of global sales and marketing. Under his management, iRobot home robots are sold in 40 countries today.
