Company Expands Retail Sales in Canada, Signs Five National Retail Chains

BURLINGTON, Mass., Oct. 11, 2005 – iRobot Corp. today announced its latest robot, the iRobot Roomba® Scheduler, is now available to customers in Canada. Roomba Scheduler features a built-in scheduling system and remote control to allow users to quickly and easily set a custom cleaning schedule, up to seven days a week.

In addition, the company has expanded its retail presence in Canada, signing five national retail chains to carry iRobot’s award-winning robots. Home Outfitters, The Brick, The Source, Future Shops and Sears Canada now offer iRobot Roomba Vacuuming Robots. Canadian Tire, which last fall was the first retailer to offer the Roomba in Canada, expands its lineup of Roomba robots based on the vacuuming robot’s popularity among Canadian customers.

Roomba Scheduler can be programmed to vacuum every day to keep your home effortlessly clean. Once the cleaning timetable has been set, the remote is used to beam the schedule wirelessly, via infrared technology, to the Roomba. The remote also programs the Virtual Walls® to turn on at the same time as the Roomba, ensuring your robot stays where you want it.

Like all iRobot Roomba robots, Roomba Scheduler uses AWARE™ technology, iRobot’s unique Robot Intelligence Systems. Roomba Scheduler features all the technological advancements of Roomba Discovery, including Dirt Detect™, which senses particularly dirty areas and automatically increases the intensity of cleaning. Also like Roomba Discovery, Roomba Scheduler includes a self-charging Home Base™, so when Roomba’s battery runs low, it drives itself to the Home Base to recharge for its next cleaning mission.

Six Canadian national retail chains now carry iRobot Roomba Discovery series Vacuuming Robots. The iRobot Roomba Scheduler is now available for $399 (CAD) at Home Outfitters. The iRobot Roomba Discovery is now available for $350 (CAD) at Home Outfitters, Sears, The Brick, The Source, Future Shops and Canadian Tire. The iRobot Roomba Red is now available for $249 (CAD) at Home Outfitters, The Brick, The Source, Future Shops and Canadian Tire.
