BURLINGTON, Mass., Jan. 23, 2008 – iRobot Corp. (NASDAQ: IRBT) today announced Jay Leader has been named vice president of information technology (IT) and chief information officer (CIO). Leader will be responsible for the development and execution of iRobot’s global IT strategy as well as management of the global IT organization. He will focus on driving the company’s technology vision and ensure IT strategy aligns with and supports iRobot’s growing global business. Leader will report to Chief Executive Officer Colin Angle.

“Jay brings to iRobot a proven record of leadership and accomplishment in using advanced information technology to gain a competitive business advantage,” said Angle. “We believe he will strengthen iRobot’s capabilities as we continue to grow our global operations and IT infrastructure. He will be a significant contributor to the future success of the iRobot team.”

After Coopers, Leader served as principal for Project Consulting Group in Medway, Mass., eventually moving on to serve as director for application development at Nypro. There, Leader’s institution of advanced enterprise technologies and management of offshore development relationships earned him the title of CIO in 2005.
